Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Position Summary
A premier regional healthcare system is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular, medical, and surgical patients.
- Monitor patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and life-support therapies.
- Manage ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, CRRT, multiple IV infusions, and advanced cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Care for patients utilizing Impella devices and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
- Mentor and support fellow nurses and clinical staff.
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation.
- Promote safe, evidence-based patient care throughout hospitalization.
Qualifications
Required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred)
- Active Montana RN license (or eligibility)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- PALS certification within six months of hire
- Recent ICU or Critical Care experience caring for cardiovascular surgery patients
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Preferred
- 1–2 years of dedicated CVICU or Cardiac Surgical ICU experience
- Experience with Impella devices, IABP, and CRRT
- EPNC and TNCC certifications
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually
- $25,000 Retention Bonus(external candidates)
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
