Position Summary

A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adults in an outpatient setting.

This Monday–Friday position offers an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community. You'll collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care across two nearby clinical locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform psychiatric evaluations and establish treatment plans
  • Diagnose and manage mental health conditions across the lifespan
  • Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
  • Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and behavioral health professionals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and continuing education

Qualifications

Required

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification
  • Active New York medical license
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in an FQHC or community health setting
  • Experience with child/adolescent or geriatric psychiatry
  • Experience treating IDD/ASD populations
  • Familiarity with ECW electronic health records

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary:$273,000–$285,000 annually
