Position Summary
A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children and adults in an outpatient setting.
This Monday–Friday position offers an excellent work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact in an underserved community. You'll collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care across two nearby clinical locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and establish treatment plans
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions across the lifespan
- Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans
- Collaborate with primary care providers and behavioral health professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and continuing education
Qualifications
Required
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certification
- Active New York medical license
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience in an FQHC or community health setting
- Experience with child/adolescent or geriatric psychiatry
- Experience treating IDD/ASD populations
- Familiarity with ECW electronic health records
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary:$273,000–$285,000 annually
