Location: Washington DC-Capital Hill, or National Harbor
Compensation:$38-$47 hour based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, 30+ hours per week
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility / Rehabilitation Center
Reports To: Director of Rehabilitation

Position Summary/Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive therapy services to assist patients in regaining functional independence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Implementing therapy interventions to improve daily living skills and functional mobility.
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Supervising therapy assistants and students as required by licensure.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educating patients and families on rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
  • Participating in facility meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or recognized foreign equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and valid OT license/certification.
  • Experience working with adult/geriatric populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as patient transfers, equipment handling, and extended periods of standing/walking.
